For as long as I can remember I have been interested in art and have been drawing from an early age. I have always been surrounded with animation, whether it be through tv or through YouTube, which inspired me to start animating as well. For a long time, I was drawing solely traditionally on paper, but when I got my first tablet I switched over to digital art, around the age 10. It was not until my 14th birthday when I got my first iPad and apple pencil, along with a drawing app specific to iPad, Procreate. Then for my 16th Birthday I was gifted my first drawing tablet
There are many animators that have inspired me over the years, some of them being fan animators on YouTube and some being animators in the profession. There is one animator on YouTube who really helped me, and that is Alan Becker. He has a 24-minute video on the 12 principles of animation, this video is what really got me into animation and wanting to create animations. Another animator that inspires me is a fan artist I found through YouTube. Their channel name is SAD-Ist and they are completely self-taught. It is really inspiring to see someone just a couple of years older than me and such a high level of skill, and it encourages me to continue animating and improving
